Innovation in technology

            Something amazing about science is when you got your brain is claimed to be genius and trying to create something new that never exist before, I called that an achievement. And what an amazing thing when somebody invented a science thing that provides many benefits of it, there’s saying “without research of science would never born knowledge, and without knowledge there would be no world” and also we heard from Albert Einstein said “Imagination is more important than knowledge” that’s means create something new for the better world is more valuable than knowledge. Nobody is perfect and nothing is perfect in this world. Allah is always provide a lot of lacks of us and those lacks are always being covered by our extractions, as we see from some inspiring students from SMA Negeri 11 garut who have invented Biotechnology of energy.

•        Bran Batteries

            The first Invention what I gonna talk about from SMA Negeri 11 Garut is Bran Batteries. Well, how could it be happened? I mean how come bran is transformed to be batteries? The answer is here, when a group of students namely Jajang Fardiyana, Kartika Sari, and Eldi Ramdhani who’s the member of KIR (Kelompok Ilmiah Remaja), when they try to explore bran, and what’s exactly exists in bran. After the research, they realized that in bran there’s electrolyte and electrode that can build electric reaction in it. And after that they have an amazing idea about transforming the bran to be battery. The final result was they successfully transformed the bran to be battery. Because their successfulness, their invention represented SMA Negeri 11 garut in the National Science Party in IPB 2011. And after the struggles ended, the final result was announced that their invention won in the 2^nd place in LKIP (Lomba Karya Ilmiah Populer). Congratulation to them!

•        Electronic Topless

            The idea was came from my friend, he was Tegar Muttabi Abdillah, he interested to make business plan after he got an information that there’s a biggest economic competition in Indonesia that is held by University of Indonesia, Depok, it was KOMPek 14 with theme INSIGHT “Improving National Strength on Investment Good Quality and Human Resources for Global Trading” which is have four branches of competition namely, Economics Debate Competition, Economic Quiz, Economic Research Paper, and Business Challenge. He followed in business challenge and proposed his business plan.

This is the design of his project.

            What a wonderful moment guys… when you’ve chosen to represent your school in such a competition. Well, actually guys… we have been chosen as representation of our lovely school to participate in such a prestigious blog competition in West-Java, Indonesia that held by the World Class University of Education namely… Tara… “UNIVERSITAS PENDIDIKAN INDONESIA”. Well actually why do I called this kind of province Blogging Competition is such a prestigious blog competition in West-Java…? Imagine guys… this blogging competition is held by one of the best universities in Indonesia. It’s kinda our first time guys to participate this Blogging Competition, or we might say that we got lucky… to be represented, do you know why? Because actually we’re doods are like replacement buddies… actually there’s 2 teams to be presented from our school, SMA Negeri 11 Garut. Actually we don’t know why the second team has been canceled to be representation to participate in The 3^rd School Blogging Competition. So, there was a teacher Mr. Asep Sudrajat, when I was with my friend Rifsky copying some tasks. Then suddenly Mr. Asep Sudrajat offered me this blogging competition. So, why not? Honestly, I don’t have any talent at all in Blogging Design, because we have a big passion to obtain a lot experiences and much more education than at school. There’s a byword saying “Experience is the best teacher”. Actually it has been for the 3^rd times our school proudly participates in the school blogging competition that held by University of Indonesia Education. The first one were participated by our senior, Oda Daryani and Riza Apriani. And something surprising was, they were successfully being the WINNER… I guess it was such an amazing moment for them because they have been awarded as the 1^st winner… Guys! They’re wonderful. And also they made our school proud and the town “Garut”. They won with their Blogsite: putihabu11garut.blogdetik.com

The 2^nd WINNER of BLOGGING COMPETITION – 2011

And actually guys… it’s not only that, in the second Blog Competition in 2011, SMAN 11 Garut represented Rissa Salim Gustianeu and Ade, they were participant in the 2^nd Blogging Competition in University of Indonesia Education. With the theme “Show up your green school”, after they were have a great fight. They were nominated as 2^nd WINNER... how wonderful they are guys…? To be honest guys I don’t have any photograph of them when they were holding up the trophy…

School Car of SMAN 11 Garut

            The first thing was we actually felt doubt about involving this kind of technology or facility of our school. But, why not… because we think this kind of facility of our school is actually kind of technology, but this kind of technology helping students for transportation service in our school.

 History of school bus

            

             The first school bus was horse drawn, introduced in 1827 by George Shillibeer for a Quaker school at Abney Park in Stoke Newington, north-east of London (UK), and was designed to carry 25 students. The primary vehicle used for students transport in North America, School buses is distinguished from other types of buses by design characteristics necessitated by federal and state/provincial regulations. Federal safety standard require school buses to be painted school bus yellow and equipped with specific warning and safety devices. This service is almost always provided without charge to families. In the U.S, the term “busing” is also a term that refers desegregation busing, the transport of students to school other than the closest local school for the purposes of racial integration. In other parts of the world, the term “school bus” refers more to destination of the bus and its student passengers than the specific vehicle designed for that purpose; the vehicles used for student transport are more closely related to other types of buses than their North American Counterparts.

             

            Ok guys, I think that’s all for a little information about the history of school bus in the UK and the U.S. but, honestly our school bus/car is really different from the UK or America that ours is only transport and carrying some students which carrying to some school events or competitions and not transport a lot of students that has just told above. The school car of our school is not really big and huge. But, its only transport minimal students whose going to participate such a province level competition or national level competition.

            Our school car has designed by the famous vehicle company in Japan that is SUZUKI; the type of our school car is SUZUKI APV ARENA which is a really comfortable car for carrying some students to escort them to an event or competition out of school.

Art Studio of G11

       Bila membicarakan soal pemanfaatan teknologi di sekolah, mungkin teknologi yang kerap kali digunakan adalah teknologi di bidang informasi yaitu Internet. di SMA Negeri 11 Garut tidak hanya sebatas sekolah dengan logo biasa saja, akan tetapi SMA Negeri 11 Garut bisa memiliki ikon tersendiri yang dimana ikon tersebut menjadi identitas sekolah yang telah dipatenkan bahwa SMA Negeri 11 Garut mempunyai ikon sekolah. Logo ikon dari SMA Negeri 11 Garut adalah G11 yang artinya adalah 11 Garut atau SMA Negeri 11 garut.

       Dengan adanya ikon ini diharapkan setiap orang yang termasuk kedalam keluarga besar SMA Negeri 11 garut harus memakai atau menempelkan stiker ikon sekolah tersebut, baik itu dikendaraan, tas, dsb milik siswa, guru, dan setiap orang yang termasuk kedalam keluarga besar SMA Negeri 11 Garut. Tidak hanya itu, ikon G11 juga menjadi logo khusus dalam studio seni online yang terdapat dalam situs halamansebelas.tumblr.com yang menjadi studio pemajangan karya seni siswa maupun sekolah.

HOTSPOT at School

What is actually HOTSPOT?

     Well, actually HOTSPOT is an area where the users can access Internet through mobile computer like Laptop, Tablet, or PDA). HOTSPOT no requirement of cable connection to the computer in order can access internet. Wireless LAN use radio frequency to do some communications among computer wares with point access where basically it’s like two directions of receiver in frequency.

     Commonly devices of Wi-Fi HOTSPOT use IEEE 802.11b or IEEE 802.11g standardization that uses some security levels like WEP or WPA.

     
     At school especially our school, SMAN 11 Garut use hotspot as accessible internet service at school, because almost every students in SMAN 11 Garut has their own laptop or computer. There are two points of Hotspot area in SMAN 11 Garut, and of course with hotspot service area every student at school can access internet easily.

Types of HOTSPOT

There are some types of hotspot that commonly use:

     1.Free hotspot as extra service for public customers usually operated in hotel, lobby, conference room, coffee shop, or café. And sometimes this type of hotspot use as semi permanent installation in computer seminar or conference.

1.       Hotspot payment system to the owner of the building, usually in Hotel room, restaurant, or coffee shop, not every hotel able to give free Wi-Fi service. They take a policy to service payment to the hotspot users to prevent from leased line or unlimited ADSL to the internet.

2.           2.Hotspot with system payment to the hotspot Wi-Fi operator, for instance Boingo, iPASS. Hotspot Wi-Fi operator is International networking globally with a lot of users which move to the other place internationally. This kind of hotspot commonly will more interest for they who have a lot of users come from around the world.

But, don’t worry because types of hotspot above, our school use free hotspot area service. Not every place or area can use hotspot service, but only certainty place or area. And usually the places which commonly have hotspot area service that use LAN wireless technology, like at University, Mall, Library, School, Restaurant or Airport. Like has explained above that there’s two sorts of hotspot service, namely free service and payment service.

     Usually students at school access internet through hotspot area service for browsing, doing some social network, downloading, listen to the online music, playing online games etc. But, of course school firmly for banning for opening sites porn, or something unusual to be watched or listen.

So, that’s all about hotspot technology that be implemented in our school.
